Kelpi joins world-leading incubator programme

Kelpi's rapid progress towards commercial success has been boosted by joining a world-leading incubator. Kelpi is delighted to have been accepted onto the SETsquared Scale-Up programme as the business moves into the next phase of its journey to replace single-use fossil-fuel plastics with home-compostable alternatives made from seaweed.

SETsquared is ranked as the Global No. 1 Business University Incubator.  A dynamic collaboration between the five leading research universities of Bath, Bristol, Exeter, Surrey & Southampton, it provides a wide range of highly acclaimed programmes helping innovative, ambitious businesses to grow rapidly.  Since launching in 2002, SETsquared has supported over 4,000 entrepreneurs helping them raise £1.8bn investment.

“The Scale-Up Programme is a perfect fit for Kelpi as we focus on securing the grant funding and private investment needed to commercialise the exciting R&D that is the result of our collaboration with the University of Bath”, says Kelpi Co-Founder Murray Kenneth.  “It’s more important than ever that sustainably-focussed technology businesses like Kelpi are allowed to flourish, and we hope that our partnership with SETsquared will help us to do so.”
